Mechanical engineering graduates can get employment opportunities in government and quasi government sectors like Bharat Heavy Electrical Ltd(BHEL), Steel Authority India Limited(SAIL), Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd(HAL), National Thermal Power Corporation(NTPC), National Aluminum Corporation(NALCO), Integral Coach factory(ICF), Indian Air Force, Indian Navy etc., and also large employment opportunities in private sectors.This Course built the person to have enough potential to complete himself in competitive world. Entrepreneurship opportunities are sound for the mechanical graduates.Duration of this course is 4 years. This course consists of 8 semesters, each has six months duration. Salient feature of this course is, it covers entire related field such as production, Aeronautical, Automobile, Machine Design, CAD/CAM, power plant Engg, etc.,

Summer Internships
As per the AICTE norms, all technical institutions should provide Student Internship during the vacation. Winter Internships are arranged to the students of third and final year during vacation time. Online Courses – NPTEL
National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) is an initiative by seven IITs and IISc Bangalore for creating course content in Engineering and Science. This offers free online courses for updating students’ professional knowledge. Our institute is registered as a SPOC (2017-2018) for registering our students to make use of this opportunity. The total number of students and staff registered various courses as follows – 163 Students Registered
Sports Events
A student of our college named Vinithra MECH (II)year Department got selected in the Inter zone level which was held in Adhiyaman Engineering college. As She won the tournament.She won SILVER MEDAL in Mini marathon.
Industrial Visits
As part of the curriculum of Anna University, Industrial Visits are arranged to the students. The major industries visited and the number of students participated are tabulated as follows - Vikaram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) Motorcycle racing ground, Irrungatukottai, Thillai Engineering Works, Ambatthur Industrial Estate - 180 Students

Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical students visited Motorcycle racing ground,Irrungatukottai on 24.09.2017. First year and second year students were taken toMadras Motor race Track,where the Asian Bike (IV round) racing held on 24.09.2017.Students had  chance to take a live show of bike racing and gather the various bikes participated in the racing and their performances too.

VSSC - Space Museum

Mechanical students visited VSSC on 20.08.2017. Students were explained about various models and prototypes which placed inside the Space museum, and they were taken to visit the models of various satellites that has been launched by ISRO for various applications, and followed with a video demonstration of Space capsule Recovery experiment has been played for the best understanding of students.

Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical students visited Thillai Engineering Works, Ambatthur  Industrial Estate on 05.01.2018. Students were taken to various sections like design office, store, raw material processing, forging shop, furnace and die moulding section and explained with the functions of each section. Students got live experience of manufacturing processes carried out  in industries.
